What is Raising Free?
Raising Free is a parent-led community in Prince George's County built around one simple belief: children thrive when they have consistent community, space to explore, and adults who show up with intention.
Our community tier is the heart of that — regular playdates, pop-up field trips, and shared experiences designed to nurture real friendships and emotional growth for kids ages 3–12.
No pressure. No rigid curriculum. Just good people, good kids, and good vibes.
Every gathering is a chance to practice empathy, communication, and self-regulation in real, unscripted moments.
We're a community of parents who think deeply about how we show up for our kids — and support each other in doing it better.
Not just a group chat. Real relationships, shared values, and a network of families who look out for each other.

We're not just organizing playdates. We're building the kind of intentional village that every child deserves — and that every conscious parent is looking for.
Helping children develop empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to build and maintain friendships through real, unstructured play.
Consistent, repeated contact with the same community of kids creates real bonds — not just surface-level interaction.
Free, child-directed play is one of the most powerful learning tools we have. We protect and prioritize it.
For families ready to go deeper — our full co-op adds twice-monthly learning sessions with rotating curriculum, organized field trips, IXL Math, BGA academic support, and a tight-knit cohort of homeschooling families. Same community, more structure.
